All you need is a Colorado State Parks Pass or to pay the entry fee for your boat rental, then you’re off onto the lake for a perfect day on the water! Boyd Lake Marina is the most popular launching ramp, but there is also Heron Cove Ramp and Deepwater ramp as well though it is only accessible when the water is low. Boyd Lake Fishing Tips

Boyd Lake offers amazing fishing opportunities! The lake is home to many species of fish including rainbow trout, perch, white and largemouth bass, catfish, and walleye.  Largemouth has been very reactive in the flats to plastic lures while smallmouth bass has been going after lures in deeper waters.

Both have been going after spinners to a degree as well. Trout have been fairly reactive to worms lake-wide. Remember to check the signs for size-limits before holding on to your catch for the campfire.
